Athletics
Thursday 16th February at Mount Smart Stadium and the whole school will attend; year 7/8 will participate in Fun Events. The 7/8 Athletics Day will be held on the 8th November in Term 4. Championship events are run in age groups. (details on the ultranet)

Year 7/8 – Held during PE classes early term 4
Year 9/10 – Wednesday 1st February 11.20 – 1.20pm
Year 11 – 13 – Wednesday 1st February 8.55 – 11.00am
Swimming
The School Swimming sports will be held on Friday 10th February at the Baradene School Pool. The 25m freestyle race is compulsory for girls in years 7 – 9. Caps are compulsory and must be worn in the pool at all times, they are available for purchase in their school house colour for $5.00 (please bring correct change) from their homeroom teacher (year 7/8) or the Sport Department.

Tennis
Tennis is played on Saturday Mornings in Term 1 - girls are unable to play both school and club in term 1 on a Saturday. The season concludes with 3 games in Term 4 (Senior Tennis games conclude at the end of term 3 to avoid exam conflicts). Games are home and away with the majority played onsite at Baradene. Girls will need to be available for trials on the first week of term 1. (See trial dates below) Girls need to collect a registration form on the first day of term on Tuesday 31st January from the Sport Department, or can be downloaded from the resources tab at the bottom of this page. The registration form needs to be returned to the Sport Department by lunchtime on Wednesday 1st February. The girls need to bring their own racquet, pe/sports gear.
NB. The Tennis Fee includes a weekly coaching session run on Friday Mornings from 7.00 – 8.15am on the Baradene Courts, the first session begins on 10th February and runs until the end of Term 1.
Tennis Trial Dates (trials held on the Baradene Tennis Courts – Main Gate 1):
Year 7/8/9 (Junior) – Thursday 2nd February 3.30 – 5.30pm
Year 10 – 13 (Intermediate/Senior) – Wednesday 1st February 3.30 – 5.30pm
Touch
Touch is available to Year 9 – 13 students in Term 1. Games are played on Tuesday afternoons at either Cox’s Bay Reserve – Westmere or Grey Lynn Park, TBC early Term 1. Registrations need to be collected from the Sport Department on Tuesday 31st January and returned by Friday 3rd February.

Year 9 – 13 (Senior) – TBC (early Term 1)
Dragon-Boating
Dragon-Boating is available to Year 13 students only in Term 1. Registrations need to be collected from the Sport Department on Tuesday 31st January and returned by Friday 3rd February. Trainings will be held twice a week at either Lake Pupuke – Takapuna or West Haven Marina – TBC early term 1. Spaces are limited to 22 participants and registrations accepted on a first-in-first-served basis.
