WELCOME TO MUSIC
The Music Department at Baradene College offers extensive range of music learning, including Duchesne Junior orchestra, Baradene Senior Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble, Schola Senior Choir, Cor Unum Junior Choir, Chamber Music Groups, Brass Ensemble and Flute Choir, providing sequential instrumental and choral opportunities for students in Year 7 to Year 13. These ensembles enrich college life and connect with wider musical community through playing at festivals and competitions.
The Music Department at Baradene College consists of Auckland’s leading teachers and performers. Tuition Awards are offered annually on various instruments, and Performers Evenings are held each term to give students an informal performance opportunity. Music Academy programme provides music instrument learning and beginner music theory for junior students. Itinerant and private lessons provide opportunity for senior students to extend their knowledge in music performance, techniques and music interpretation.
