 Japan remains one of the powerhouse economies in the Asia Pacific region. Speakers of Asian languages have broader opportunities for work, study and travel in this important part of the world.

Our Japanese programme introduces students to the language and culture of Japan. In years 7 and 8, students begin to learn some set Japanese phrases, and simple language. From year 9 onwards, students learn the Japanese scripts, and as they progress through to year 13 become increasingly proficient in the skills of Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking.

We have close ties to our Seishin Sacred Heart sister schools in Japan, and from time to time we have the opportunity to host visitors from these schools, and also to visit them and experience the culture of Japan first hand.
