2020 Year 7 information

Week 1 (First two days)

Term 1 Begins 
Thursday 30 January 

  • 8.35am - meet in the auditorium (welcome and organised into Homerooms)
  • Wear full summer uniform
  • Bring your stationery and padlock as lockers will be allocated
  • Bring your computer device
  • First day powhiri/assembly
  • At the end of the day, new students will be taken to bus/train so know your bus number if applicable

Friday 31 January 

  • School photos taken

Week 2

8.35am - go to allocated Homeroom

Monday 3 February (Day 1)

  • Timetable begins
  • Lunchtime - House meetings

Tuesday 4 February (Day 2)

  • Bring togs, towel and swimming cap for Year 7 swimming heats. 
  • Lunchtime - House Meetings

Wednesday 5 February (Day 3)

  • 9am - House Parades
    Parents welcome to watch on lower tennis courts.
  • Swimming Sports finals Day (Periods 3 - 5 non participants in class)

Thursday 6 February - Waitangi Day Holiday

Friday 7 February - School Closed

Week 3

8.35am - go to allocated Homeroom

Monday 10 February (Day 6)

  • 7.30pm: First PTA meeting held in Music Block (parking available via Sonia Ave entrance) All welcome

Tuesday 11 February (Day 7)

  • 9.00am: Year 7/8 Immunisation talk from Starship Community Nurse

Wednesday 12 February (Day 8)

  • 6.15pm - 7pm: Year 7 Meet the Dean and Homeroom Teacher - Meet in the Gym, then to Homeroom
  • 7pm - 8pm: Year 7 Parents Wine and Cheese

2020 New Year 9 Students

Week 1

Term 1 Begins
Thursday 30 January

  • 8.30am: Meet at the main school turning circle (access via Gate 1)
    Mrs Venter (Year 9 Dean) and Mrs Smyth will take students to Year 9 Levels

2020 New International Students

Week 1

Wednesday 29 January

  • 10am - 3pm: Orientation Day
    Meet at Main Reception (access via Gate 1)
    Wear casual clothes (not school uniform)
    Please bring:
    - Packed lunch and water
    - Pen
    - A copy of your insurance, VISA and passport (If not already sent to the college)
    - Your computer device, so that you can logon

Term 1 Begins 
Thursday 30 January 

  • Wear Correct School Uniform - See School Uniform information under "Useful Links" below
  • Stationery - Students should just bring pen/paper for the first few days of school.  Stationery can be ordered once subject selection has been confirmed.  Mrs Storer, our Homestay co-ordinator will help students do this in the first few days of school.

School Uniform

The Uniform shop at the “Stables” is on the Baradene campus and adjacent to the Centennial and Barat buildings. Second hand uniform may also be available to purchase. To view the uniform shop trading hours and order online please use link below:


Sport Registration

Wednesday 29 January - Sport Registration Day (Gym)
4pm - 6pm
Attend this day to find out information on specific sports
Registrations are then completed online.  2020 Online Registrations will open late January 2020

Please do not park on the school grounds to drop of and collect students.  Parking is available on surrounding streets.  In the interest of student safety, please do not park on yellow lines as this reduces visibility.
