Three of our Year 13 students attended the SGCNZ Shakespeare Festival in Wellington over King's Birthday weekend, after being selected as a top student-directed scene at the Regional competition. Eloise Harvey and Zoe Dignan performed a compelling scene from Measure for Measure, directed by Ava Flathaug. The students, accompanied by Mrs Eichstaedt McComb, spent four nights in Wellington attending workshops, theatre performances, and experiencing the world of Shakespeare. The highlight was performing on the stage of the St James Theatre on Sunday afternoon. Congratulations to all involved on an outstanding performance. A special congratulations to Nia Turner-Montes, who also attended the festival on Sunday evening, receiving 2nd place for her essay competition.
