Association of Sacred Heart
Baradene College is part of an international network of Sacred Heart schools. Sacred Heart schools emphasize serious study, educate to social responsibility and lay the foundations of a strong faith. Our 'motto' is Cor Unum - One Heart and One Mind in the Heart of Jesus Christ. The aims of the Network are to ensure that every Sacred Heart school feels the strength of belonging to a larger whole, of sharing principles and values, broad issues, hopes and ambitions. These have been expressed in the Goals and Criteria of Sacred Heart Education.
There are more than 140 schools worldwide extending across the globe from Britain, Europe, USA, South America, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Students In Year 11-12 are eligible to apply for exchanges.
We currently participate in exchanges with the USA (Boston, Seattle, Atherton, New Orleans, Washington) and also Japan.
Overseas students typically visit between March and September for 2-3 weeks and our students visit after NCEA exams in December/January holidays. Families are responsible for airline, insurance and other related travel costs. Students are hosted by the exchange family (meals and accommodation) and then reciprocate when the student visits NZ.
Please refer to the Exchange programme Information Sheet for further information.
If you are interested in participating in an exchange this year, please fill in the application form and return to Mrs Francis by email [email protected]
Please email Mrs Francis if you would like the word format of the application form.
