Dame Helene Quilter DNZM
Congratulations to alumna Dame Helene Quilter DNZM (Class of 1971), who was recognised for her service to the public service and the arts at the King’s Birthday Honours.
Dame Helene has had an inspiring career and has been an advocate for diversity and inclusion. Helene was the Secretary of Defence from 2012 – 2019 and was re-appointed deputy public service commissioner of Te Kawa Mataaho Public Service Commission until 2023. Helene returned to Baradene in 2015 as the keynote speaker for the Senior Prizegiving ceremony.
