Rowing Champions
Alumna Lucy Burrell, (Class of 2020) who is studying at Stanford University, has topped off a fantastic 2023 rowing season. It started a few weeks ago with winning the 2023 PAC 12. This was followed by Lucy’s Stanford crew winning the V8 and 2V championships.
Stanford University was crowned NCAA 2023 Women's Rowing Champions National title holders! What an amazing achievement Lucy!

Lucy received a full scholarship to attend Stanford University in 2021, which covers food, accommodation, health insurance, books, a living allowance and two return flights home to New Zealand each year.
At Baradene, Lucy was part of several successful rowing teams, and won gold and bronze medals at the Maadi Cup. Lucy also made the NZ U19 team in a coxless 4, racing at the World Junior Championships in Tokyo 2019, where they came fifth.
