Last weekend 8 girls represented Baradene at the New Zealand Secondary Schools Swimming Championships.

Points are awarded for top 8 results in each event, and due to our fantastic results Baradene was awarded 4th Top Girls school in New Zealand!

We also have 3 National Champions with 1st placings coming from:

- Emily Whitehead in the 16-18 years 50m Breaststroke,

- Open Medley relay team of Simone Lusby, Emily Whitehead, Rebecca Smolcic and Summer Miln

- Olivia Upston in the Multi-Class 100 Breaststroke

Emma Brooks – 6th 200 Backstroke, 6th 100 Backstroke, 8th 16-18 Backstroke

Emily Whitehead – 10th 16-18 200 Breaststroke, 10th 100 Breaststroke

Summer Miln – 2nd 16-18 50 Freestyle, 3rd 100 Freestyle

Olivia Upston – 2nd Multi-Class 100 Freestyle, 2nd 50 Breaststroke 2nd 200 IM, 2nd 50 Freestyle, 2nd 100 Backstroke, 2nd 50 Butterfly

Simone Lusby – 2nd 16-18 100 Breaststroke, 3rd 200 IM, 8th 50 Breaststroke, 3rd 200 Backstroke, 7th 50 Freestyle

Well done girls on some outstanding results.

And then following this up Lanihei Connolly won silver in the 11-12 years 50m Breastroke at the AIMS Games, along with two 4th and a 6th placing.
