AKSS CRICKET

The 1st XI cricket team started the tournament off strong with a win against defending National champions EGGS in the first round. The girls went from strength to strength and went through Pool Play unbeaten. On Thursday they had their semi-final against Takapuna. After scoring 102 the girls knew they needed to very tight in the field and take some early wickets. The team did extremely well and took 5 wickets. It all came down to the last over, Takapuna needed 2 runs to win. Unfortunately, Takapuna did get the runs to take the win.

NISS WATERPOLO

The Premier water polo team had a very tough start to the NISS. The girls played extremely well and were unfortunate to have a couple of narrow losses in the first few days, but also had a great win against Diocesan B 6-1. They then went on to win the Plate final against St Mary’s 8-5. The girls progressed well and are thoroughly looking forward to Nationals in the holidays.
